CASE STUDIES

Our work is inspired by our students—who are our customers.

Elementary School Students: Grades 1-5

Her Computing’s coding workshops focusing on Game Development, Web Development and Introduction to Python, provide elementary students, a fun and hands-on approach to engage in computational thinking and programming. Students deep dive for a week at a time through our annual coding camps. Many of our students that started in elementary are now in our late middle school and high school programming. Our Gimkit tournaments during each class keeps students excited for revising concepts.  Early exposure empowers our students to explore many options as their interests evolve.

Students in late elementary also join our annual hackathon hosted in partnership with Phillips Exeter Academy’s FTC Vertex team. Additionally, students play our proprietary board game  to discover numerous tech and computing concepts and an array of careers in the field.

"Next subject I want to study is deep learning.
We could learn so many new things"

— Ariana S., 2nd Grader

Middle and High School Students: Grades 6-12

Her Computing’s coding workshops focussing on Advanced Game Development, Advanced Web development (with API and JQuery), Python for Machine Learning and Data Analysis, provide middle school students, a challenging and hands-on approach to learn concepts and apply to solve real problems. Middle schools students also explore Robotics with CAD and Programming specialization—and gain exposure and skills to decide if they want to pursue competitive robotics in high school.

Middle school students that require accelerated curriculum and high school students also explore Computational Science Research using NLP and Computer Vision— particularly if they want to deep dive in research and participate in science fairs in high school. Many middle school students also attend our annual coding camps. Our Gimkit tournaments continue to be the favorite time for our students and their competitiveness is on full display to win the games!!

Our high-achieving middle school students also perform as teaching associates during the class. Students also join our annual hackathon hosted in partnership with Phillips Exeter Academy’s FTC Vertex team and play our proprietary board game  to dig deeper into the workings of a tech company as they explore the many career options in tech & computing.

"It was fun spending time with strangers."
