Who We Are

HerComputing is a nonprofit organization dedicated to increasing participation of girls & underrepresented students in computing. We host coding camps, STEM workshops, hackathons, large-scale community projects, and provide fun computer science curricula for educators globally. Our flagship initiative BillionKidsCode has launched a board game to break down barriers in tech & computing through gamification and cross-curricular learning. With the ubiquity of computer science across disciplines and industries, we advocate for policy changes and funding to ensure every student in K-12 has access to CS education regardless of their field of study or background. HerComputing is supported by generous donors including 100+ parents, and corporate foundations.

Riya is a Junior at Phillips Exeter Academy, NH. She is programming team captain on Vertex Robotics team, a writer for Matter, an Eagle Scout, and founding Senior Patrol Leader. When she is not coding or making up theories on black holes and quantum physics, you can find her hiking or tinkering around.

Amogh is passionate about Cybersecurity and Algorithmic Programming including competitions such as, PicoCTF, USACO, and more. He has placed top on the scoreboard in many competitions such as PicoCTF, and being placed 1st or 2nd in the world currently on CTFtime for CTF's. He is keen on helping kids expand their horizons and explore Math and Computer Science.

He enjoys helping his friends with coding problems in class, and believes he is good at making diagrams that help understand coding.

Arin is a junior at WW-Plainsboro High School in NJ! He has been programming in Java for many years and is also an avid computer-aided designer. He works on many projects in machine learning and AI; such as training a robot to open a door, alongside a professor from a university! He is the captain of a FIRST robotics team that placed 8th at worlds and a deans list finalist. He wants to share his expertise with underrepresented students in CS.
